Mi-Co Continues International Expansion with New Partners in the United Kingdom, South Africa, Australia and Switzerland

WEBWIRE

Mi-Co, the mobile data capture software company, announced today that agreements have been signed with sales and service partners in four countries outside of North America. This represents a major step in the company’s globalization strategy as Mi-Co will now have a physical presence in six countries.

“Over the last two quarters the overseas requests for information on Mi-Forms and interest in the system’s ability to convert handwritten forms directly into accurate computer data has increased dramatically,” said Jim Clary, Mi-Co CEO. “Mi-Co’s plans have always included identifying leading edge companies throughout the world that can bring the Mi-Forms System to the market. Our plans were to start this expansion in 2006, but because of the level of interest outside the United States, we moved up those target dates.”

Carolee Nail, VP of Operations, stated, “In supporting non-US based customers, each of these partners brings unique skills and talents that Mi-Co values greatly as we continue to expand our reach. It is exciting to watch Partners take advantage of the Mi-Forms SDK, built on the Microsoft .NET framework, to build enterprise solutions using Digital Ink.”

The new partners are:

United Kingdom -

Architect IT was the first partner outside of North America signed by Mi-Co and has extensive experience with Microsoft’s .NET software development framework.

Australia -

Baseplan Software has enterprise application experience, a strong focus on enterprise mobile solutions for the Digital Pen, and a full service organization for forms design and integration support.

Switzerland -

CO-Handelszentrum GmbH provides ASP services from a highly secure datacenter located in the Gotthard Mountains and is hosting and managing custom applications for clients as the company expands into mobile data capture.

South Africa -

SilverLake Professionals have extensive experience in a wide range of financial record management applications, such as JD Edwards, and has built the infrastructure to expand into the realm of Digital Ink.

These partnerships build upon Mi-Co’s successful strategies in the United States and Canada. Mi-Co’s sales and customer service strategy is oriented to strong relationships with partners having unique skills. In the US, Mi-Co has signed partners with experience in specific verticals such as healthcare or government services. Partners with specific technology skills, such as form design, workflow and .NET development, have been recruited. Because of this approach with partners, 2005 Mi-Forms sales that are generated by the US network of partners has more than doubled over these sales in 2004.
