Ceradyne’s Jerrold J. Pellizzon "CFO of the Year"

COSTA MESA, Calif.-Ceradyne, Inc. (Nasdaq:CRDN) announced today that Jerrold J. Pellizzon was named public company “CFO of the Year” by the Orange County/Long Beach chapter of the California Society of CPAs.

Mr. Pellizzon, a certified public accountant who joined Ceradyne in 2002, has been instrumental in the company’s fulfillment of sound fiscal management, domestic and international expansion, and financing objectives. During his five-year tenure, Ceradyne’s annual revenue has increased twelve-fold to $740 million generated utilizing fifteen manufacturing facilities in North America, Europe and China. During this period, Mr. Pellizzon negotiated five acquisitions, while also facilitating stock and debt offerings that raised $238 million, as well as securing a $160 million credit facility, utilized to fund growth via acquisitions and organic initiatives designed to diversify Ceradyne’s revenue stream and increase profitability.
