Introducing Toronto’s premier Golf Forum

Torontogolfnuts.com is the answer to a growing demand amongst Toronto golfers for an online community forum designed with their needs in mind.

TorontoGolfNuts.com was born when President, Erwin Go realized there was a need for a website for golfers to discuss and exchange golf information in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). “Toronto and its surrounding areas have long been known as a place for great golf,” says Go. “The number of new golfers taking up the game and the number of new golf courses which have opened up in the last five years is a testament to the popularity of the sport in our area. We built TorontoGolfNuts.com on this premise, creating an online community of enthusiastic golfers where the sport can be talked about, debated, and enjoyed at wit’s end.”

Go wanted an outlet to talk about his golf games, experiences, and stories and there was no online forum that was relevant to him as a Torontonian. Go approached his closest group of friends, who also shared his passion for golf, and together they started TorontoGolfNuts.com. Go and his team are a group of first-generation golfers, dedicated to learning the game, playing the game and improving their game. Since launching on October 26, 2004, TorontoGolfNuts.com’s membership base has steadily grown. The site strives to become the GTA’s leading source for golf discussion and local golf information.

To promote the forum, TorontoGolfNuts.com is having an online contest. All members of the forum are automatically entered once into the draw for a chance to win a $100 golf gift certificate to a major golf retailer. Details can be found on the site on how to earn additional entries. The Contest ends at 12:00am EST on February 1, 2005. The draw takes place at 9:30pm EST on February 13, 2005. The winner will be contacted and congratulated on the site.

“We thought the contest was the best complement to the Buy/Sell/Trade forum on our site,” says Go. “The winner can put the money towards a new club and then post a message advertising to sell the equipment they’re replacing, reaching hundreds of people in the area, for free.”
