Ma.gnolia Social Bookmarking Sponsors Typo Theme Contest

SAN FRANCISCO, Ca. OCTOBER 18, 2005 – Ma.gnolia Systems, LLC, a San Francisco-based technology company developing a user-friendly social bookmarking system, has donated a grand prize of an iPod Nano to the theme contest for Ruby on Rails-based Typo blogging platform.

Though Ma.gnolia’s launch date is still several months away, the Ma.gnolia team decided to donate the prize based on a desire to promote two of the principle Ma.gnolia philosophies: supporting online communication and information sharing and contributing to the development of Web 2.0 technologies that can enhance usability and accessibility for virtually any end user.

These days, blogging is almost synonymous with community and information sharing on the web. We chose Typo for our own development blog because we like to blaze the trail with all things Ruby on Rails. When we caught wind of the Typo Theme contest, we saw an opportunity to contribute to the development of a favorite piece of software.”
