New Special Showcases Classical Music With a Groove

September 18, 2007, Harrington Park, NJ... Janson Media today announced the release to worldwide television, VOD, and DVD markets of the new one-hour special, A NIGHT IN VENICE WITH NOVA ERA. Filmed in High Definition and recorded in 5.1 Surround Sound, A Night in Venice is the television and DVD debut of Nova Era, a devoted ensemble of six musicians known for their mesmerizing recreations of classical melodies.

Performed live in the historic Palazzo Zenobio in Venice, Italy, the musicians are featured in hand-crafted, Baroque costumes and powdered wigs. The scenes are breathtaking as Nova Era makes beautiful music by candlelight, sweeping the audience away to an enchanted evening in 18th century Venice. The sextet plays as one — forcefully, confidently, yet passionately. The illuminating sounds complement solos without sacrificing each musician’s individuality. Italian oboist Maria Luisa Coppelli and violinist Francesca Copelli soar and sail through melodies such as Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons.” Venetian Cellist Daniele Milanese’s lyricism and a rhythm section featuring Jeff Schiller on drums, Steve Bonsor on bass, and Lewis Antoni on keyboard, proves there are no second fiddles in this group.

Based in Orlando, Nova Era breathes new life into classical music with its exhilarating mix of original and well-known melodies in the styles of Vivaldi, Beethoven, Bach, and other great composers. Nova Era’s distinct sound is also evident in original works by producer/composer Andres Roca, who created a special chemistry with his focus on the oboe, cello, and violin. Each timeless piece is arranged and supported by a driving New Age, World, or Dance groove. Roca uses a lifetime of diverse musical and ethnic influences to create sensual melodies and rhythmically challenging arrangements. The DVD also includes a behind-the-scenes tour of Venice, as well as interviews with band members.
