EMI Music Latin America and EMI Televisa Music artists earn 20 nominations for the 2007 MTV Latin American Awards

Belinda leads with five nominations including best artist and best video

Kudai and Miranda! Earn 3 Nominations Each

Zoé, Aterciopelados, Moderatto, Catupecu Machu and Los Bunkers and International artists Lily Allen and 30 Seconds To Mars all Nominated

Miami, FL . – EMI Music Latin America and EMI Televisa Music artists earned 20 nominations in the upcoming 2007 MTV Latin America Awards, led by Belinda, who led all MTV Latin America nominations with 5, including Best Video and Best Artist. The nominations follow the 32 nominations EMI Music received last week for the upcoming Latin Grammy® Awards.

BELINDA leads the list of nominees for the MTV Latin America Awards overall this year, the most nominations for an artist of any label group. The young superstar received five nominations, including “Artist of the Year,” “The Best Artist,” “The Best Artist North,” “Best Pop Artist” and “Video of the Year” for Bella Traicion (Beautiful Betrayal) by Scott Speer.

KUDAI and MIRANDA! Scored three nominations each. Kudai was nominated for “Best Group or Duet,” “Best Artist Central” and “Best Artist of the Year.” Miranda was as well nominated for “Best Group or Duet,” “Best Pop Artist” and “Best Artist South.”

MODERATTO and CATUPECU MACHU were nominated for “Best Rock Artist”, as well as nominated for “Best Artist South.”

ZOE received nominations for “Best Alternative Artist” and “Best Artist Northern Artist.” ATERCIOPELADOS and LOS BUNKERS were also nominated for “Best Central Artist.”

The sixth annual “MTV Latin American 2007 Awards” will be televised live from the Sports Palace in Mexico City on Thursday, October 18th at 10:00 PM.
