Alcatel-Lucent sponsors The Second Eurasian Forum of Young Journalists of Electronic Media

Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext Paris and NYSE: ALU) today announced that it sponsored The Second Eurasian Forum of Young Journalists of Electronic Media held on September 7-8, 2007 in St. Petersburg, Russia.

The meeting of young TV, radio and Internet journalists that took place in the State Hermitage Museum was devoted to the development of ideas in the establishing of new relations in Eurasia. The Forum was organized by “Eurasia Media Center” in cooperation with the State Hermitage Museum, the International Academy of Television and Radio and the International Confederation of Journalists’ Unions with a support from Alcatel-Lucent, the Federal Agency for Press and Mass Communications and UNESCO (Moscow). The Forum focused on the role of modern media and telecommunications technologies in the creation of new forms of people’s commonality dialogue of cultures and professional communications for young people, the future leaders in the information space of Europe and Asia.
