Submissions to be accepted during Graph Expo 2007 Sept. 9-12

Rochester.- History books have recorded the major milestones in the advancement of print, from early block printing in China to Gutenberg’s first movable type press in the mid 1400s. During Graph Expo 2007, Kodak will welcome online submissions about the great achievements in print from big events across the globe to important hometown occurrences.

During Graph Expo, Kodak will collect submissions of “Great Moments in Print” at http://www.PrintAmbassador.com, the Kodak sponsored web portal for the promotion of print. Beginning September 9, people from all over the world will be able to submit suggestions by clicking on a special icon at the http://www.PrintAmbassador.com homepage.

“We’ll welcome information about events and individuals that are well known in history,” said Jeff Hayzlett, Chief Marketing Officer, Kodak’s Graphic Communications Group. “What we’re also looking for are the stories that have escaped attention so far—the great people and families who’ve built successful print businesses around the world, or the incredible print projects that set new standards for quality or customization.”

At the conclusion of the show, Kodak will create a special online tribute to the Great Moments in Print submitted during Graph Expo. In addition, anyone who’s Great Moment is selected for posting will be honored as one of Kodak’s Print Ambassadors and receive a customized Print Ambassador certificate for posting in their home or workplace attesting to their designation as an advocate for the power of print.

http://www.PrintAmbassador.com is an ever growing online forum and resource center for the value of print. Designed to highlight the innovative approaches for using print to reach consumers with highly targeted, relevant messages, the website provides visitors with market research, customer testimonials, return on investment studies, examples of highly successful print campaigns, and a list of print industry events.

In addition to the Print Ambassador nomination program, the http://www.PrintAmbassador.com features an “Ask the Experts” section that allows visitors to get help from Kodak professionals to execute a print campaign. It also offers a “Find a Printer” section that connects marketers with print providers that meet their production needs.
