Bradco Supply Corp. Upgrades Network with AT&T Private Network Transport Services

WEBWIRE

AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) today announced a three year $2.7 million networking services contract with Bradco Supply Corp., a leading national distributor of building materials. Under terms of the contract, AT&T will provide a solution to migrate Bradco Supply from an existing frame relay network to AT&T’s Private Network Transport (PNT) service, which uses AT&T’s Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) — enabled network.

The Virtual Private Network (VPN) solution will streamline the management of valuable network resources to ensure reliability, scalability, security and to more effectively adapt to the increasing changes of Bradco Supply’s business requirements. AT&T will oversee the deployment and management of the PNT services, which will support a variety of Bradco’s data applications. The services will be deployed across 164 Bradco locations in North America.

Bradco Supply engaged Source One Management Services (http://www.sourceoneinc.com) to assist in the identification, contracting and implementation of an MPLS network solution that would ensure that Bradco’s existing dark fiber and routing equipment were maximized. As a result of this marketplace research, AT&T was also awarded the responsibility to provide network management services and any additional network routing equipment.

“AT&T’s professionalism and expertise allowed us to collaboratively develop a solution that capitalized on our limited internal resources while being robust enough to adapt to our demanding business requirements,” said Joe Hradil, chief information officer for Bradco Supply Corp. “The AT&T solution will enable us to improve our business processes and drive revenue.”
