Doremi Labs Introduces the NuggetPro High Definition Video Player for Audio Post

October 7, 2005 - AES 2005, New York, NY - Doremi Labs introduces the NuggetPro stand-alone SD and HD video player for audio post. The NuggetPro provides perfect sync with the audio workstation timeline via its frame accurate Sony 9pin chase mode. The NuggetPro is ideally suited for audio post applications in both film and television.

The NuggetPro’s stand alone design is fully compatible with a majority of DAWS. Besides frame accurate chase, the NuggetPro features variable speed playback and the ability to scrub in perfect sync within the DAW session. The NuggetPro accepts both tri-level and bi-level sync and supports 24 frame material for film applications.

The NuggetPro plays HD or SD video from its internal hard drive or directly from a remote server via Gigabit Ethernet (depending on bit rate). It supports popular computer video files such as QuickTime and MPEG2. The video files can be managed via Ethernet with the provided VToolsPro software interface for PC and MAC workstations.

The NuggetPro is housed in a compact 1RU chassis and features composite, DVI, SDI and HD-SDI video and 6 analog and AES/EBU audio channels. It also features LTC in/out, Gigabit Ethernet, Sync input and RS-422 machine control via the Sony 9pin protocol.

For over 20 years Doremi Labs has provided the audio post market with innovative, high technology products and has developed an excellent understanding of the market and its needs. Doremi Labs’ DAWN workstation introduced in 1985 was one of the first 8 track digital audio workstations on the market. The DAWN was followed by the popular V1 video disk recorder. The V1 is employed as a video companion for audio workstations at over a thousand audio post facilities worldwide. The latest V1 models feature shared storage operation that permit multiple DAWs to work on the same video project.
