Coastal Vacations Directors Get Warning

A new Coastal Vacations scam is aimed at those who are Coastal Vacations directors with the top rated home based travel business. Coastal Vacations directors have been warned to take special precautions when accepting certified checks as payment for Coastal Vacations membership travel packages.

Los Angeles based training coordinator and conference call host Dean Marino made the announcement to Coastal Vacations directors. Marino works very closely with Coastal Vacations directors as part of his leadership duties with the largest group in the Coastal Vacations program.

Coastal Vacations directors are warned about scam operators who over pay for Coastal Vacations travel membership packages and demand that they get their overpayment back right away. The scam operators pay with what appear to be certified checks. Coastal vacations directors are warned to be especially careful when accepting cashier’s checks, money orders, or other funds that appear to be certified.

Marino warned Coastal Vacations directors that customers can stop payment on cashier’s checks. The popular conference call host and trainer explained that many people think cashier’s checks are just like cash. In reality they are not.

Coastal Vacations directors were told that today’s technology makes it relatively easy for scam artists to print bogus certified checks, and even if the check is legitimate, it is not necessarily going to clear because the customer can stop payment on it.

The check was a phony and the Coastal Vacations director did not release any funds.

He explained that most new members tend to take advantage of the leverage available to them by using a major credit card to pay for their Coastal Vacations travel membership.
