REDWOOD SHORES, Calif.- Oracle today announced that Rauline Ochs, senior vice president, North America Alliances and Channels, was named one of the most powerful women in the technology channel by CMP Channel’s VARBusiness Magazine, the leading source of channel intelligence and strategic insight for IT Solution Providers.

Ochs, who has more than 12 years experience working in the channel, is responsible for Oracle’s North America Alliance and Channels organization, and leads a team that covers sales through partners, including system integrators, distributors, value-added resellers, independent software vendors and hardware vendors.

VARBusiness chose Ochs as one of the most powerful women in the technology channel for the second year in a row because of her continued commitment to building Oracle’s North America channel programs and improving Oracle’s indirect sales approach, fostering cooperation among Oracle’s direct sales force and Oracle partners. In addition, her ability to integrate partners from various acquisitions has been key to the Oracle business.

Ochs was instrumental in integrating All Partner Territories (APTs) across all product lines and market segments. Other 2007 milestones include the delivery of a Sales Methodology to SMB Apps partners, and the integration of Stellent and Hyperion Partners into the Oracle ecosystem. Over the next year, Ochs plans to debut the Oracle Partner Leadership Platform, which will help partners work toward sales and leadership excellence.

The second annual VARBusiness Power 50 Women of the Channel awards honor the female executives making the biggest impact in the IT channel. The list celebrates outstanding female leaders and role models for other women in the traditionally male-dominated IT industry.

“Successful channel partner programs are made so through the dedication of the channel executives who oversee them. The CMP Channel is proud to honor those women whose commitment to the channel has improved the profitability of their solution provider partners,” said Robert C. DeMarzo, vice president and editorial director, CMP Channel.

The Power 50 Women of the Channel were chosen by CMP Channel editors who combed through a large number of candidates in order to identify the most outstanding and influential female channel executives.
