Robert Dubrow Appointed Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at Yale Department of Epidemiology and Public Health

New Haven, Conn. — Paul Cleary, Dean of Yale School of Medicine’s Department of Epidemiology and Public Health (EPH), has announced the appointment of Robert Dubrow, M.D., as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs.

In this newly-created position, Dubrow will oversee and coordinate the educational curriculum, chair the Education Committee, and help develop an Office of Public Health Practice to offer M.P.H. students optimal practice experience and internships around the world.

Dubrow has been actively engaged in public health research and education for almost three decades. He has worked at EPH since 1987 and will continue to hold the positions of Associate Professor in the Division of Chronic Disease Epidemiology and Director of the Office of International Training at Yale’s Center for Interdisciplinary Research on AIDS. Widely recognized for his leadership in public health education, Dubrow received the Yale School of Public Health Teaching Award from the graduating classes of 2007 and 2002.

In making this announcement, Cleary stated, “Dr. Dubrow has made significant contributions to our school as a skilled educator and researcher. His strong commitment to students, combined with his extensive published research on HIV/AIDS prevention and cancer epidemiology and prevention, will help us continue to develop and provide exceptional educational programs and experiences for M.P.H., M.S. and Ph.D. students.”
