General Dynamics Awarded $11 Million D.C. Department of Corrections IT Support Order

FAIRFAX, Va. – General Dynamics Information Technology, a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), has been awarded a task order under the GSA Information Technology (IT) Schedule to provide correctional information and technology support for the Department of Corrections in Washington, D.C. The order has a total potential value of $10.7 million over five years if all options are exercised.

Under the contract, General Dynamics Information Technology will provide a wide range of information technology services, including network management, database administration, applications development and administration, systems acquisition and integration, help desk support and report development. Several of the hardware systems and software applications supported under the contract are critical safety-of-life systems for the D.C. Jail and other nearby facilities. General Dynamics Information Technology has supported the D.C. Department of Corrections under similar contracts since 1998.
