CybeRelease: (OTC BB: HSPO) Gets Military Research Agreement

WEBWIRE

(CybeRelease, July 25, 2007) – Lake Harmony, Pa. – HealthSport, Inc. (OTC BB: HSPO), a fully integrated developer, manufacturer and marketer of unique and proprietary branded and private label edible film strip nutritional supplements and over-the-counter drugs, announced that it has reached an agreement with The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU), and The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine, Inc. (HJF) to study electrolyte delivery in HealthSport’s edible thin film strips, Enlyten(tm) SportStrips(tm) as well as a new product, Enlyten SurvivalStrips(tm).

Enlyten SurvivalStrips, the newest product to be added to the HealthSport product line, were developed to aid the military in maintaining energy. This electrolyte strip was specifically formulated with additives to support the health of soldiers.

Under the Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA), the USU Consortium for Health and Military Performance will develop three studies aimed at determining the acceptability of the Electrolyte Strips as well as the strips effectiveness in the prevention of cramping and dehydration. Because soldiers are exposed to such extreme environmental conditions, at times wearing full gear in high temperatures, missions can be compromised and their health can be affected. Dehydration and decreased performance are common occurrences during military maneuvers because heavy loads and body armor result in soldiers experiencing accelerated fluid loss. The CRADA will determine the Enlyten Electrolyte Strips effectiveness in preventing dehydration and maintaining performance. Various tests will be conducted, including simulated mission scenarios and marches.

``Nothing is more important than the health and safety of our soldiers,’’ said Dan Kelly, President of HealthSport, Inc. ``Whether they are on the battlefield or going through training, we want to be able to provide them with the best replenishment product possible to ensure that they are able to stay focused and stay healthy. We are truly honored that the Uniform Services University has elected to research the effectiveness of the Enlyten Electrolyte Strips.’’

Enlyten SportStrips replace the electrolytes lost during vigorous athletic activity through a proprietary thin strip delivery system. When the flavored strip is placed between the cheek and gum, gastric absorption is bypassed speeding higher levels of electrolytes directly into the bloodstream. This mode of absorption is very different from all electrolyte delivery predecessors. Not only does it dramatically reduce delivery time and improve hydration on a cellular level, but it also helps athletes avoid the adverse conditions often caused by excessive fluid consumption. Known scientifically to be an extremely fast and efficient way to deliver drug actives into the bloodstream, buccal absorption of electrolytes bypasses the inherent drawbacks of ingesting electrolytes and other sports supplements into the stomach, an Achilles heel for many athletes who struggle with fatigue, cramping and hydration issues.
