Atos Origin Italy receives ISO-IEC 27001:2005 certification

Atos Origin, an international IT services company, announces that its Information Security Management System validated for the Pont Saint Martin office (AO) has received ISO-IEC 27001:2005 certification. The certificate was issued by DNV Italia, the institution accredited by SINCERT for issuing ISO certificates. This recognition underlines Atos Origin’s trustworthiness regarding guaranteeing privacy, integrity and data availability for its own clients.

The certificate of conformity for Atos Origin’s SGSI to the standard ISO-IEC 27001:2005 refers to ‘Facility Management for dedicated Internet Data Centers and Management of payment card systems’ activities performed from the Pont Saint Martin center. In order to confirm the validity of the certificate over time, the center will undergo bi-annual verification to accredit the continued implementation of the SGSI and its conformity to the standards.

These certificates meet the requirements of the ISO-IEC 27001:2005 norm, and include all activities related to running dedicated Internet Data Centers, for example running network infrastructure and dedicate internet data center systems, or maintenance and monitoring of systems and networks, as well as Database Administration and Management, applications monitoring, Business Continuity and Customer Support; all are certified areas.

All activities directly related to Payment Systems management – including Change Management, application maintenance and monitoring, systems and networks, as well as Database Administration and Management, Business Continuity and Customer Support are certified and conform to the ISO-IEC 27001:2005 norm.
