Why won’t old media report on the North American Union?

Los Angeles, CA (July 16, 2007) -- A new expose about George W. Bush’s efforts to integrate the U.S., Canada and Mexico hit No. 1 on Amazon.com’s non-fiction bestseller list without the benefit of a single notice by the so-called “mainstream media.”

The book is “The Late, Great USA: The Coming Merger With Mexico and Canada” (ISBN 0979045142, WND Books, hardcover, July 2007) by Dr. Jerome Corsi -- no stranger to bestsellers or controversy with the media elite. It was Corsi who co-authored “Unfit for Command,” the 2004 blockbuster that was credited with stopping the presidential campaign of Sen. John Kerry. That book, too, became an overnight sensation thanks to talk radio and the Internet.

A similar phenomenon appears to be occurring with his latest release. And no wonder. In “The Late Great U.S.A.” Corsi proves that the so-called Security and Prosperity Partnership, an agreement signed in 2005 by George W. Bush, Stephen Harper of Canada and Vicente Fox of Mexico, is nothing less than a full-frontal assault on American sovereignty. According to Corsi, “As detailed in ”The Late Great U.S.A,“ Bush’s goal is to create a North American Union - with no borders, a shared currency, and utterly no voice for average Americans in their own futures. And yet the mainstream media has not just ignored my book but been silent on the topic. Why?”

It’s not because “The Late Great U.S.A” isn’t generating interest and anger. Dr. Corsi has been a guest on dozens of radio shows coast to coast spreading the word about Bush’s treasonous plan to put the U.S. in thrall to the endlessly corrupt Mexican government. He’s published articles and been a featured speaker at events and conventions. Yet from the old media, virtually no mention of his book, the Security and Prosperity Partnership, or a potential EU-like North American Union...unless you count one snarky columnist at the Washington Post.

“Members of the mainstream media consider themselves America’s elite,” notes Corsi, "and elites hate this great country and favor anything that works to its detriment. Assuming that news anchors on NBC, CBS and ABC, not to mention CNN, know anything about plans for a North American Union at all, they likely support it, since all their liberal friends do.

“Anyway, what’s American sovereignty when Posh and Becks are coming to town? Drooling over a couple of B-list celebrities is clearly far more important than informing our citizens about one of the truly critical issues of our time.”

That’s why the internet and new media are so vital. “As the recent Senate immigration debacle proved, American citizens CAN change things, once they realize just how underhanded our supposed ’representatives’ can be,” notes Corsi. “Yet the fight over the Senate bill was kindled and the flames fanned by the internet, WorldNetDaily.com’s Joseph Farah, radio icons like Rush Limbaugh and organizations like Grassfire.org and NumbersUSA. No wonder San Fran Nan and her congressional minions want to re-institute the so-called Fairness Doctrine!”
