Oracle(r) University Announces Oracle Database 11g Training

Today, as part of the launch of Oracle(r) Database 11g, the latest major release of the world’s leading database (see today’s related press releases from Oracle), Oracle University announced Oracle Database 11g training courses. Designed to introduce new and enhanced features, the courses will help customers learn to use the enhancements to innovate and grow their business more quickly by managing their information more effectively.

Oracle Database 11g: New Features for Administrators
This course gives students the opportunity to learn about--and practice with--the planned new change-management features and other key enhancements in Oracle Database 11g Release 1. The lessons examine the benefits and use of planned new features in managing change, diagnosing and recovering from problems, ensuring high availability, improving scalability and performance, strengthening security, and several other areas of interest to database administrators. In addition, the hands-on practice sessions help reinforce understanding of these planned new capabilities in Oracle Database 11g Release 1 so that students will be ready to apply them immediately on the job.

Oracle Database 11g: New Features Overview Seminar
This course introduces students to the planned key new capabilities of Oracle Database 11g Release 1 and provides strategies for taking advantage of them. Topics include new features for managing storage, ensuring high availability, improving scalability and performance, strengthening security, and managing data warehouses. The instructor lecture is supported by recorded product demonstrations. Students attending this course will be able to plan their use of Oracle Database 11g Release 1 more effectively.

Oracle Database 11g: Change Management Overview Seminar

This course focuses on Oracle Database 11g Release 1 innovations that enable users to mitigate the chaos that database and application upgrades can cause. Students learn about features that they can use to record production workloads and then play them back in a test environment to determine and eliminate potential issues before deploying changes to a production environment.
