Motor Boats Monthly Appoints New Editor

July 06, 2007 - Motor Boats Monthly, Britain’s favourite motorboating magazine, has appointed Carl Richardson as its new editor.

Carl is currently deputy editor of Motor Boats Monthly, having previously worked as a staff writer on another of IPC’s Marine brands, Motor Boat & Yachting. Carl joined IPC in 2001 following a career in the marine industry as a yacht broker.

Publisher Steve Kendall says: “I’m delighted to announce Carl’s promotion to editor. He has a great depth of talent, ideas and enthusiasm to drive Motor Boats Monthly forward and his knowledge of the marine market and standing in the industry makes him the ideal candidate to lead the fantastic Motor Boats Monthly editorial team onto greater glory.”

Carl adds: “Having been involved with Motor Boats Monthly over the last six years, it’s incredibly exciting to be handed the helm. This is not only Britain’s biggest-selling motorboat magazine but also one that is respected around the world and I’m honoured to be leading it.”

Carl takes up his new role on July 9.
