Seniors - Bring a friend for FREE!
Now a permanent fare plan system-wide, VIA’s Senior’s Companion Fare allows passengers age 60 and over travelling in Comfort Class (economy) to bring along a companion for free. In Comfort class (economy) when you purchase your ticket at the regular senior’s fare, you will be allowed one companion of any age to travel free. For July and August in VIA 1 class, and in sleepers year-round your travel companion receives a 75% discount off the regular adult fare. Tickets must be purchased five days or more before departure and are subject to limited availability. There are no restrictions on the age of the companion; be they spouse, friend or grandchild. Half-Price Saturday Travel Through September 1, 2007
Each Saturday until September 1, 2007, passengers can “half it both ways” when travelling within the Windsor to Québec City Corridor. With VIA’s Saturday Savings passengers travelling in Comfort Class (economy) aboard Québec City-Windsor Corridor services receive a 50% discount on trips where the regular, full Comfort Class adult fare is CAD $78 or less.

With this deal, travellers visiting destinations within the Corridor - including Windsor, Toronto, Niagara, Kingston, London, Ottawa, Montréal and Québec City - can take day trips on Saturdays and receive the half-off discount in both directions. Travel times between these destinations are generally less than three hours in each direction. No advance purchase is required, but the number of seats offered on this discount is limited.
