Extreme Series Portable Vacuum System From CDC Larue Incorporates High-Performance Flo-Tek Vacuum Motor

TULSA, OK, -- The new Pulse-Bac 1500 Extreme Series from CDC LaRue Industries represents a quantum leap forward in performance for portable industrial vacuum and dust collection systems. Its patented Pulse-Bac non-clogging filtration system allows the 1500 Extreme Series to take on the most demanding construction and manufacturing dust suppression applications including concrete, wood, drywall, fiberglass, stone and nearly all fine powders or dry debris.

Powered by an advanced high airflow FLO-TEK vacuum motor from AMETEK Commercial Motors, the 1500 Extreme Series provides continuous suction even under the most demanding operating conditions by continuously flushing one of five advanced self-cleaning PTFE-coated spun polyester filter units.

AMETEK’s FLO-TEK vacuum motor features a lightweight design utilizing an advanced motor lamination that increases the motor’s efficiency and allows for higher motor speeds. Those innovations coupled with improvements in fan and housing design enables the compact, lightweight FLO-TEK motor to provide the 1500 Extreme Series with 450 CFM and 4.7" of water lift.

The FLO-TEK vacuum motor features AMETEK’s INFIN-A-TEK brushless switched reluctance motor technology that ensures greater than 5000 hours of service life and incorporates the latest advancements in digital control technology and electric circuit design.

The FLO-TEK vacuum motors are approximately 10“ in diameter and height and 10 lbs in weight and are available in 120 and 240 single-phase AC and 24, 36, and 48 DC voltages. Performance is available in 70” Sealed and 300 CFM or 90" Sealed and 200 CFM respectively. Maximum peak air watts of 850 have been obtained.

The 1500 Extreme Series electronically controlled filtration system provides clog-free operation using only vacuum to keep its filters continually clear of dust and debris. In addition, its exclusive air dam creates a cyclone effect inside the collection tank. This feature prevents dust and debris from continually recycling through the filters and directs all of the collected material to the bottom of the tank.

The unit’s non-woven, PTFE-coated polyester filters are more durable than paper filters and able to capture particles as small as 0.1 micron. The non-stick PTFE coating provides the filters with additional resistance to corrosive chemicals and other materials.

The entire unit stands 62.7 inches tall and 28.3 inches wide and weighs a mere 220 pounds. Competitive systems weigh in at 800 pounds or more and lack the maneuverability provided by the unit’s non-marking caster wheels. Those wheels support a rugged, eight-gallon powder-coated tank that’s built to last.

Founded in 2003, CDC LaRue quickly established itself as an innovator in portable vacuum and dust collection systems for construction and industrial applications systems. Its surface preparation equipment has been recognized as among the “Most Innovative Products” by the World of Concrete three years in a row.

AMETEK Commercial Motors is the world leader in high-performance motor technology for vacuums and other floor care appliances. Its vacuum motors have long served as the industry’s workhorses, powering a wide range of products such as floor scrubbers, professional upright and canister cleaners, and central vacuum systems.
