Public Hearing June 29 on Additional Options to Change the New Source Review Emissions Increase Test

WEBWIRE

EPA will hold a public hearing Friday, June 29, on the agency’s proposed further options to change the emissions increase test used to determine if the New Source Review (NSR) permitting program would apply when an existing power plant makes a physical or operational change. The proposed changes would affect only the application of the NSR program to existing electric generating units at power plants. The units generally are fossil fuel-fired and produce electricity for sale.

The hearing will begin at 9 a.m. at EPA’s offices in Research Triangle Park, N.C., and will continue until one hour after the last registered speaker has spoken. To register to speak, contact Pam Long at (919) 541-1641 or by e-mail at long.pam@epa.gov

EPA also is taking comment on the options until July 30, 2007. Instructions for submitting comments: epa.gov/nsr/fs20070424.html
