The Mexicana Group Standardizes Business Operations with Oracle E-Business Suite On Demand

The Mexicana Group, parent company to seven leading organizations in the Mexican airline industry, has implemented the Oracle E-Business Suite On Demand to better manage business operations and consolidate disparate IT systems, Oracle today announced. Mexicana Group deployed Oracle Applications to integrate its finance, human resources, supply chain and fleet maintenance processes into a single instance to meet its unique business requirement of technological innovation.
The Mexicana Group owns and operates Mexico’s leading full service airline, Compania Mexicana de Aviacion, and the biggest low fare airline in the country, Click Mexicana, among others. To continue setting the standard for commercial aviation and to consolidate its presence in the Mexican and international markets, Mexicana Group turned to Oracle.

The Mexicana Group implemented Oracle E-Business Suite On Demand to better align with corporate objectives and consolidate its Airplane Maintenance Business Unit, enhance financial reporting and reduce supply chain costs. The Mexicana Group chose to rely on Oracle Applications for their best-in-class aviation industry functionality, flexible architecture and specifically the capabilities of Oracle Complex Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul. Additionally, Mexicana Group wanted a single vendor that could offer an ERP solution On Demand, in order to increase efficiency and focus on core, strategic business challenges rather than administrative IT tasks. Mexicana Group is one of the first organizations in Mexico’s airline industry to leverage the Oracle On Demand deployment model to manage its IT solution.
