Citibank Thailand Ready Credit – The "Smarter Financial Option for Cash Loans"


Bangkok – Citibank Ready Credit is positioning itself as the “smarter financial option for cash loans” in a new advertising campaign launched today. The campaign aims to tap a broader target market base and also make more Thai consumers aware of “use credit wisely” best practices.

Mr. Shahnawaz Lalani, Consumer Finance Director said "Citibank Ready Credit has been a leader in the cash loan product segment since its launch ten years ago.

"And based on our internal research findings, consumers who have immediate needs in terms of financial assistance are well aware of Citibank Ready Credit. We also discovered however, that many potential Ready Credit consumers, those who do not require additional cash on a daily or monthly basis, have yet to fully realize the benefits and value of Ready Credit.

"Given this awareness gap among our target consumers, we decided to step up our marketing efforts to help potential customers get a clearer idea and perception about the cash card’s product features and benefits.

“As a responsible lender, we will also promote credit management best practices. Through Citibank Ready Credit’s new positioning and marketing, Thai consumers will be provided more information about how they can utilize the cash card product to realize opportunities in their personal and business lives,” Mr. Lalani added.

Citibank Ready Credit’s new campaign, which will be launched on June 20, 2007, includes television, print and outdoor advertising. An advertorial series featuring case studies and positive testimonials from Citibank Ready Credit customers will also be published in a number of magazines.
