Scottrade opens new branch office in Santa Cruz, Calif.

Branch office to provide customer service, support to online investors



St. Louis, – Scottrade, a leading branch-supported online investment firm, is opening a new branch office in Santa Cruz, Calif. The branch, located at 2750 41st Ave. at the Redwood Square Shopping Center in Soquel, opens on Monday, June 18.



This will be Scottrade’s first branch office in Santa Cruz County and 301st nationwide. Wayne Koh, branch manager for the Santa Cruz office, said the new branch will be more convenient for many of Scottrade’s customers who were previously served through branch offices in San Jose.



“We want to have a convenient location where customers can stop in if they have questions about an account or our online trading products and services,” Koh said. “Our branch is easy to find with plenty of parking and easy access from Highway 1.”



Scottrade is an online investment firm that provides individual investors the tools and research to make their own investment decisions. Scottrade does not offer investment advice, but brokers are available at branch offices to answer account-related questions, provide customer service and offer tutorials on Scottrade’s trading services.



“We feel it is important to have branch offices where our customers work and live,” said Rodger Riney, Scottrade president and CEO. “While most of our customers trade online, they value the option of having a local branch office where they can get personal customer service.”

In addition to the Santa Cruz branch office, Scottrade has several branch offices in the San Jose area with 43 branches in California and 300 nationwide.
