VADAR Systems Revolutionizes Audit Process Through New Auditor Initiative

WEBWIRE

Maynard, MA, USA – June 15, 2007 – VADAR®Systems, a Massachusetts based Financial Software provider supporting over 60 MA municipalities, is pleased to announce the culmination of its Auditor Initiative which will provide a series of tools clients can use to streamline their annual auditing process.

After more than six months of ongoing discussions with a number of Massachusetts municipal audit firms, VADAR is releasing its Audit Assist package for use in the upcoming audit season. These free enhancements are configured for each individual audit firm and a number of those companies have been actively involved because they see the advantages it provides to their client.

Jim Powers of the audit firm Powers & Sullivan has been pleased to participate in VADAR’s initiative, stating “Anything we can do to work with software vendors to improve the efficiency of the audit process has major gains for all involved - especially the client. VADAR was very responsive to the particular needs of Powers & Sullivan. By giving our joint clients the variety of tools they’ve developed it will allow our clients the ability to provide us with secure access to a significant amount of audit documentation. This will make the audit work easier to schedule and more efficient on our end and less intrusive for the municipal staff.”

Claude Boudwin of the audit firm Claude Boudwin, LLC further explained, “Providing client data for detailed ledger transactions along with specific audit interfaces will not only streamline the entire audit process for auditors and clients alike, but will also help take the guesswork out of analyzing the data. Removing and mitigating the natural challenges we all encounter during any audit process is a great thing for everyone. It can only be of benefit.”

Dan Sullivan of the audit firm Sullivan & Rogers also commented, “We embrace the opportunity to work with software vendors and technology providers. As auditors, we are also end-users of our clients’ financial management systems. A better understanding of how those systems operate and of how to best utilize audit features and audit reports within those systems saves us and our clients time, energy and effort.”

In its 11th year, VADAR®Systems has dramatically grown to be a dominant municipal software provider in the Massachusetts marketplace by integrating its wide variety of Windows® based Financial Applications. Supporting clients from Cape Cod and the Islands to Berkshire County, VADAR®Systems’ software supports municipal entities with a broad range of sizes and needs. Clients range from small towns with less than 1,000 real estate parcels and less than 250 people to larger cities with over 20,000 real estate parcels and more than 50,000 people.

“We are so very pleased with the response from both the clients and the auditing vendor community”, explained VADAR®Systems CEO, Frank Natale. “Our clients’ staffs are spread very thin and freeing up their time is a major part of the way we design all our applications and services. We take our corporate mission “Redefining the Role of Technology Partner” very seriously, and this is only one of a number of initiatives we have completed to support that partnership. Still more are in development. Increasing the number of tools at our clients’ disposal without increasing the costs they pay their software vendor is how we have grown our business.”
