New Middle East Film Explores Global Jihad Success

Icon of Hatred, a new film by Second Draft, explores how the media-created icon of Muhammad al Durah’s death, helped launch a new phase of misinformation that has sparked untold violence in the Middle East.


The film is written and produced by Richard Landes, a professor of Medieval History at Boston University, who has used his experience in analyzing and exposing medieval forgeries to examine the al Durah affair.


“In the history of psychological warfare, Al Durah is an atom bomb,” says Landes. “No single event has stirred Global Jihad more ardently.”
