Ericsson to sponsor ’Just Imagine’ series on CNN

WEBWIRE

CNN International and Ericsson today announced that Ericsson is to sponsor a new special series on the network titled ’Just Imagine’ presenting six visionaries and their visions of the future.

The series of six x 60" films explores the possibilities of life in the near future across a diverse range of subject from online communities to urbanisation to nano technology. The series, which runs for six months, will culminate in a half hour special documentary bringing together six visionaries to paint a picture of our future. ’Just Imagine’ has been created to stimulate debate and provoke discussion across CNN International’s global audience.

The Ericsson campaign encompasses on air sponsorship of ’Just Imagine’ and its dedicated website on CNN.com’s international edition, www.cnn.com/justimagine. Ericsson is using CNN as its main advertising partner throughout 2007.

The sponsorship builds on a wider partnership announced between Ericsson and Turner earlier this year. The company, that also includes Cartoon Network and the Adult Swim brands used Ericsson’s technology and expertise to launch its new CNN mobile service http://cnnmobile.com across Europe, Middle East, Africa and Latin America.

“It is great news that Ericsson has chosen CNN as its main advertising partner throughout 2007. The thought-provoking content of ’Just Imagine’ fits well with Ericsson’s forward-thinking positioning which resonates with CNN’s influential and global audience,” said Max Raven vice president of ad sales for CNN International.

Henry Sténson, Senior Vice President, Communications, Ericsson, says: “CNN’s scope and reach makes it the perfect channel to illustrate the impact of technology and communication on society, which is in line with our vision of an all-communicating world.”
