Houston Personal Trainer Tom Jackobs, Delivers Wedding Workout Tips on ‘Great Day Houston’ Debut Appearance

HOUSTON, TX, June 3, 2007 – Houston personal trainer Tom Jackobs shared his wedding workout tips with one of Houston’s most popular television personalities last Friday on Great Day Houston, a morning talk show broadcast on CBS affiliate, KHOU-TV, Channel 11.
“Great Day Houston host Whitney Casey was a good sport,” laughs Jackobs. “She wasn’t dressed for a workout, but she joined right in as we demonstrated squats and lunges.” The Houston personal fitness guru performed his specialty exercise routine accompanied by several of his wedding workout clients.
Jackobs is founder of Body3 Personal Fitness, for a niche client-base of brides and brides-to-be, “who want to look fabulous on their special day,” he says. The Houston personal fitness trainer doesn’t limit his practice to wedding workouts, “but helping brides look and feel their best provides me with a special sense of professional satisfaction. I find that women trust me because I am supportive of their goals,” he says.
“Getting married is the most wonderful time in a woman’s life – but too often it is one of the most stressful,” says Jackobs, who is credentialed as a nationally certified personal trainer, an Arthritis Foundation aquatics instructor, rehabilitation specialist and personal life coach. He says he was inspired to pursue a fitness career after losing 40 pounds in a “life changing” shape-up program he designed himself. “I knew when I achieved fitness success in my own life, I could help others do the same.”
Jackobs says his Body3 Wedding Workout™ is an ideal alternative to traditional exercise. “Our focus is on the bride, but we also help the groom and the entire wedding party shape up for the event.” The Houston fitness trainer says the 4-week group fitness program takes place in Memorial Park, where he leads classes in both strength and cardio training. “I tell clients they can expect to safely lose between 5 and 10 pounds in just four weeks – if they also observe a sensible diet.” The wedding workout groups meet three days a week.” Jackobs says many of his clients continue working with him well after the wedding is over.
Jackobs’ workout tips for brides include:
o Structure your exercise program around your dress. This tones up those muscles that best flatter your particular dress.
o Observe a sensible nutrition program.
o Exercise should be part of the entire wedding plan – right up there with selecting the bridesmaids’ flowers and the reception venue.
o Believe you can do it and be prepared for the change. A faithful cardio and strength training routine will change more than your body. It will change your life.
