Bigband Founders Named Finalists For 2007 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Award

BigBand Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: BBND) today announced that its chief executive officer Amir Bassan-Eskenazi and chief technology officer Ran Oz have been selected as finalists for the 2007 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® Award in the Northern California Region. The awards program was designed to recognize outstanding entrepreneurs on a regional, national and global level who are building and leading dynamic, growing businesses. Bassan-Eskenazi and Oz were selected as finalists from over 80 nominations by a panel of independent judges. Award winners will be announced at a special gala event on Friday, June 29, 2007 at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco.

Bassan-Eskenazi and Oz co-founded BigBand Networks in 1998 and have focused on developing technologies that allow broadband service providers to move, manage and monetize video. On March 15, 2007, BigBand Networks completed its initial public offering on the NASDAQ National Market. Amir Bassan-Eskenazi serves as the company’s chief executive officer and chairman of the board and has led BigBand Networks’ activities from conception through successful implementations with leading global service providers, driving video content to tens of millions of subscribers. Ran Oz has been the primary visionary in the development of the company’s technology platforms and solutions.
