Smith appointed director, strategic growth, for PPG Automotive Refinish

The automotive refinish business of PPG Industries announced that Lee Smith, director, PPG Refinish Canada, since 2002, has been appointed director, strategic growth and acquisitions, for PPG Automotive Refinish, North America.

Effective June 1, Smith will assume his new position, which includes responsibility for developing growth strategies to meet short- and long-term profit and growth objectives for refinish.

“Lee has been with PPG 25 years, and his in-depth knowledge of the automotive refinish industry and past successes make him well-suited to this new position,” said John Outcalt, general manager, PPG Automotive Refinish, North America. During Smith’s tenure with PPG Canada, Outcalt said he positioned the company for continued success. Brian Roberson, senior account manager for PPG Aerospace, will succeed Smith in Canada.
