EPA awards over $280,000 to the State of Arkansas to continue air pollution prevention and control program
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency recently awarded $ $284,352 to the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality. The funds will allow the state to continue its air pollution prevention and control program which includes a special diesel retrofit project for Crittenden County. Expected accomplishments include maintenance of national ambient air quality standards, reduction of air toxics emissions, and reduction of ambient nitrates and sulfates.
