Raytheon Company Expands Use of Xerox DocuShare Software for Global Document Management
Raytheon Company has signed an agreement with Xerox Corporation (NYSE: XRX) to expand its use of Xerox’s DocuShare™ enterprise content management software to help manage its documentation and work processes worldwide.
DocuShare provides companies like Raytheon with a unified and comprehensive online resource for information across the enterprise, enabling employees to securely share documentation across groups and offices.
With DocuShare, workgroups can manage documents as a team rather than relying on a system administrator, offering a secure and cost-effective document management solution. The software can be deployed across an organization as a centralized "hub" to house frequently requested forms and templates, and route documents through business approvals.
Document folders or "collections" can be created in DocuShare for specific projects so that any kind of document or file can easily be stored, viewed and shared from a secure intranet Web page. Archiving capabilities organize and categorize older data while still keeping it accessible.
"Our goal is to empower DocuShare’s customers, especially those with geographically-dispersed teams, by providing a powerful and intuitive software foundation for their work processes that is easily maintained and quickly deployed" said David Smith, vice president and general manager, Xerox DocuShare Business Unit. "DocuShare makes it easy for organizations of all sizes to securely share information no matter where their employees reside"
