ACR Poker Stormer Marcelo Cartana Turns $0.80 Qualifier Into $8,367 Venom Finish

ACR Poker Stormer Marcelo Cartana began his October Venom run with a $0.80 Survivor Flip Step Satellite and finished with $8,367 in prize money and bounties. The Brazilian streamer placed 158th in the $5 million guaranteed No-Limit Hold’em Venom PKO after qualifying for its $2,650 entry.

Playing under the nickname “CartanaPoker,” he worked through $6, $46 and $350 qualifying steps to secure his seat. He then advanced to Day 2 with more than 100 big blinds in a tournament that drew 2,143 entries and produced a $5,357,500 prize pool.

ACR Stormers is an international team that streams tournament and cash-game sessions on Twitch. Its community also offers hand reviews and giveaways, alongside opportunities to watch players’ decisions throughout a session.

Cartana’s finish is part of a wider series of recent Brazilian player results. In September’s $12 million guaranteed NLH Mystery Bounty Venom, Ivanildo “chickenpastry” Limeira finished runner-up for $779,154, including bounties, following a heads-up deal.

Earlier this month, three Brazilian players reached final tables in the Dual Venom PKOs and collected approximately $259,000 combined, including bounties. Victor Pedote, playing as “meteli goli,” took seventh in the NLH for approximately $104,088.

Two of those final-table results came in Pot-Limit Omaha. José Orlando (“Blessed33”) placed fourth for $82,743, and Yuri Martins Dzivielevski (“vousconfus”) finished fifth for $72,634. Brazilian entrants recorded 39 NLH and six PLO Day 2 qualifications across October’s events.

The country’s Venom history also includes at least six champions. Among them is Gabriel “kingqueensuited” Tavares, who won the April 2025 $10 million guaranteed NLH Venom and earned $1,505,240.
