Ella Purnell is back in the killer new trailer for Sweetpea Season 2
The Sky Original returns to screens on November 26
Today Sky unveils the brand-new trailer for Season 2 of Sweetpea, the iconically brazen and darkly comic thriller which sees Ella Purnell (Fallout, Yellowjackets) reprise her role as wallflower-turned-killer Rhiannon Lewis.
In Season 2, Rhiannon is navigating a new promotion, an irresistible rebound, and a copycat killer threatening to expose her. The kill list is mounting, and she is forced to question whether her perfect ex, AJ, was right: is she a monster?
Rish Shah (Overcompensating, Joy) joins the cast as Rhiannon’s romantic interest Gabriel, alongside Tamsin Greig (Riot Women, Friday Night Dinner), who stars as AJ’s mother, Liv. Taj Atwal (Riot Women, Line of Duty) joins as Freya, Rhiannon’s formidable new boss at the Carnsham Gazette, Jenny Walser (Heartstopper, Star City) plays new friend Daisy, and Annabelle Davis (The Dumping Ground) plays Bella, who works in the police ‘admin’ department. Returning to the series are Jon Pointing (Big Boys, Run Away) as Craig, Jeremy Swift (Ted Lasso, Downton Abbey) as Norman, Leah Harvey (Foundation, The Scurry) as Marina, Ingrid Oliver (Thursday Murder Club, Doctor Who) as DI St John, Nitin Ganatra (Mr Bigstuff, Sexy Beast) as Rory, and Alexandra Dowling (Emily, Game of Thrones) as Seren.
The series is inspired by the titular character in CJ Skuse’s cult novels and produced by See-Saw Films in association with Sky Studios.
