Technological innovation, motorsport passion, and the relentless pursuit of performance were all on display at the 2026 Motorsports Club of Clubs (MCC) in Tampa, Florida, where Maserati Corse presented the new technology Maserati project Track Assist by AS.CAR.I.

Jointly developed by Maserati and Italian start-up AS.CAR.I, the new track driving assistance system builds on AS.CAR.I’s proprietary technology and is designed to help customers hone their skills behind the wheel. The solution offers drivers the chance to refine their technique, build confidence, and get the most out of the Trident’s vehicles. With the aim of delivering an increasingly thrilling and educational driving experience, the technology will be integrated into the Master Maserati Driving Experience program starting in 2027.

Motorsports Club of Clubs 2026
The presentation took place as part of the sixth edition of the Motorsports Club of Clubs (MCC), organized by Tilke from October 26 to 28, 2026, at The Motor Enclave in Tampa. Founded in 2019, MCC is an exclusive international network that brings together private circuit owners and operators and motorsport clubs, with around 40 organizations from around the world. Following previous editions hosted at some of the world’s most iconic and exclusive tracks, the U.S. event provided Maserati with an important opportunity to connect with professionals and enthusiasts who share a passion for exclusive, high-octane driving experiences. The star of the event was the Maserati GT2 Stradale equipped with the new Track Assistant, which was showcased during demonstrations and hot laps on the track. It was a unique opportunity to highlight the technology’s potential in a super sports car that embodies Maserati’s racing DNA, combining outstanding performance, precision, and the thrill of pushing the limits on the track.

The new Maserati project Track Assist by AS.CAR.I
Maserati project Track Assist by AS.CAR.I is an innovative “digital trainer” designed to support drivers on the track as they progressively hone their skills. At the heart of the technology is the Active Performance Control (APC) system, currently undergoing integration, calibration, and validation on the Maserati GT2 Stradale. The system works in conjunction with the vehicle’s integrated braking system.

Through active brake and acceleration management, the system helps drivers identify the optimal braking points for each track, reduce driving errors, and maintain the appropriate speed at the apex. This intuitive support helps improve precision and performance while building confidence and awareness behind the wheel, without compromising the thrill of sporty driving. Designed specifically for the circuit, the new Track Assistant stands apart from traditional driver assistance systems through its focus on enhancing drivers’ skills without replacing their talent. The technology becomes a learning tool, turning every lap into an opportunity to better understand the car’s behavior and progressively refine driving technique through an approach that combines innovation, performance, and safety.

The project stems from a collaboration with AS.CAR.I, an Italian start-up founded in 2023 that grew out of the experience of the mOve research group and the PoliMOVE team at Politecnico di Milano. Building on this background, the company has developed advanced expertise in autonomous driving and technologies applied to motorsport. The core technology, software, and algorithms are proprietary to AS.CAR.I. The collaboration with Maserati focuses on developing the technology’s application, as well as its integration, calibration, and validation on the vehicle for Maserati’s specific requirements. This collaboration highlights Maserati’s commitment to working alongside Italy’s leading research and engineering institutions, transforming cutting-edge technological expertise into innovative solutions that deliver tangible benefits to its customers.

The Master Maserati Driving Experience program becomes even more innovative in 2027
The next step in this evolution will be the integration of Maserati project Track Assist by AS.CAR.I into the Master Maserati Driving Experience program starting in 2027, making it one of the first and most exclusive driving experiences to introduce a technology of this kind. This important development will further enrich the Trident’s training offering, combining the expertise of professional instructors with a next-generation learning tool. A longstanding link between Maserati and the world of motorsport, the Master Maserati Driving Experience gives enthusiasts the opportunity to discover the extraordinary potential of the Brand’s vehicles through on-track driving experiences tailored to different skill levels. Under the guidance of expert instructors, participants can experience high-performance driving in an exclusive, controlled environment. The introduction of Maserati project Track Assist by AS.CAR.I will make the program even more engaging and performance-oriented.

Maserati vehicles star at the Tampa event
In Tampa, the Maserati GT2 Stradale showcased the perfect blend of the Trident’s technological approach and motorsport heritage. Developed to bring the expertise gained from the racing Maserati GT2 to the road, this high-performance super sports car is powered by t he 3.0-liter, 640-hp Nettuno V6, the most powerful internal combustion engine ever fitted to a road-legal Maserati. With acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds and a top speed exceeding 320 km/h, the car delivers outstanding performance, further enhanced by a 60-kg weight reduction compared with the MC20. These qualities make it the ideal showcase for demonstrating how innovation can enhance the precision and thrill of driving on the track.

The static display of two other representatives of the Trident’s blend of luxury and sportiness rounded out Maserati’s presence at the Motorsports Club of Clubs: the MCXtrema, a 740-hp “beast” limited to just 62 units and designed exclusively for track use, embodying the most radical expression of the Trident’s racing DNA; and the New Grecale, the Modena-based brand’s SUV, which combines interior space comparable to that of vehicles in a higher segment with a sportier character and outstanding everyday usability.

With the presentation of Maserati project Track Assist by AS.CAR.I and its future integration into the Master Maserati Driving Experience program, Maserati Corse reaffirms its commitment to turning its motorsport expertise into new opportunities for customers, enhancing the thrill of driving and making every training session even more rewarding and memorable.
