The free mixed reality (MR) strategy game invites players to experience the magic of bringing a tactical tabletop game to life right before their eyes.

With XREAL AURA, the battlefield leaps off the screen and into the player’s surroundings, transforming their physical space into a 5x5 tactical grid where fully animated characters clash, terrain shifts and every move has consequences. Whether battling AI opponents in single-player mode or going head-to-head with a friend in 1v1 multiplayer, players must think several moves ahead to claim the crown.

Every match in Holochess is a test of tactical thinking, with features including:

1. Simultaneous Tactical Combat: No turns, no waiting. Both players make their moves at the same time, creating fast-paced battles where predicting your opponent’s strategy is just as important as your own.
   
   
2. Choose Your Faction: Command a three-unit squad from distinct factions, including the precision-focused Clankers, who specialize in high-tech defense, and the unpredictable Xenoswarm, who thrive on biological volatility and territory control.
   
   
3. Claim the Crown: Eliminate the opposing squad or seize control of the center tile to collect five crowns and secure victory. But beware: each crown comes at the cost of your unit’s health.
   
   
4. A Battlefield That Fights Back: As the match progresses, tiles decay into dangerous kill zones, forcing players to adapt their strategies and rethink their next move.
