From Big Winners to Weekly Picks: Chris Moneymaker Launches New ACR Poker Newsletter

Chris Moneymaker is putting his own perspective at the center of a new weekly newsletter from ACR Poker. Debuting Wednesday, October 28, The Moneymaker Minute will bring players standout results, memorable stories, upcoming events and the occasional giveaway, all in one regular update.

The idea is to make the weekly poker catch-up feel less like a list of tournament dates and more like a conversation about what matters at the tables. Moneymaker describes the approach as “All the good stuff, none of the homework.”

The first issue includes highlights from the recent Dual Venom PKOs, including the champions of both tournaments, alongside the story of Gabriel “kingqueensuited” Tavares. The Brazilian player won back-to-back Sunday Banana titles in October, collecting more than $204,000 in combined first-place winnings.

The newsletter also previews the conclusion of ACR Poker’s $650,000 guaranteed Halloween Mystery PKO series, introduces The Quattro and its $75,000 in combined weekly guarantees, and looks ahead to the $1 million guaranteed Moneymaker Mystery PKO.

Moneymaker also has a recurring recommendation feature, “Don’t Punt This - My Pick of the Week.” He opens it with ACR Poker’s Bahamas satellites, which offer routes toward $30,000 WSOP Paradise packages.

There is an additional launch feature for eligible readers: a $1 On-Demand tournament ticket included with the debut newsletter. Players may use it before its Monday, November 2 expiration as a potential first step toward qualifying for a Bahamas package, subject to eligibility and applicable terms.

In 2003, the former accountant qualified for the World Series of Poker Main Event through an online satellite, then defeated Sammy Farha heads-up for the championship and $2.5 million. His victory helped inspire the online poker boom and became known as the “Moneymaker Effect.” He was inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame in 2019.

The debut also features ACR Poker’s Telegram channel, where players can follow news, stories, updates and giveaways. Later editions may include more giveaways and special opportunities.

The Moneymaker Minute is exclusive to ACR Poker account holders. It will arrive automatically each Wednesday, beginning October 28, so there is no separate newsletter sign-up. More information about The Moneymaker Minute and what readers can expect is available here.
