- The public has rewarded the new Italian flagship model, marking a major milestone in Lancia’s renewal journey.
- This recognition highlights the appeal of a model that is entirely Made in Italy, combining elegance, innovation, and a strong stylistic identity.
New Lancia Gamma has won the Auto Europa 2027 People’s Jury Award, the prestigious competition organized by UIGA (Italian Automotive Journalists Union). This achievement is particularly meaningful because it stems directly from public preference. Among the seven finalist vehicles in the 2027 edition, the new Italian flagship stood out.
The award was announced today during the ceremony held in Milan at the headquarters of Bosch Italia, where the finalist vehicles underwent the final evaluations by the Technical Jury. The public vote represents a significant endorsement of the interest and appreciation generated by the New Lancia Gamma, which has captivated automotive enthusiasts with a proposition that combines Italian design, innovation, and a contemporary reinterpretation of the brand’s historic values.
Unveiled during its world premiere at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, in the year marking Lancia’s 120th anniversary, the New Gamma is a fastback crossover that carries forward the legacy of Lancia’s great flagship models. It reinterprets their distinctive character through elegant lines, outstanding comfort, and modern technologies. The Auto Europa 2027 People’s Jury Award further confirms the deep bond between the Brand and its enthusiasts, who have always recognized Lancia’s distinctive identity, its drive for innovation, and its ability to anticipate future trends without ever compromising the refinement that sets the marque apart in the international automotive landscape.
It is also worth recalling that, in the days leading up to the award ceremony, the New Lancia Gamma was the subject of a striking photo shoot in Soncino, in the province of Cremona, one of Italy’s most beautiful historic villages. With its imposing Rocca Sforzesca and the charm of its medieval town center, Soncino provided an exceptional backdrop for the new model, creating the perfect meeting point between automotive innovation and historical heritage.

Lancia
With 120 years of history, Lancia is one of the most iconic names in Italian motoring. Long synonymous with elegance, innovation and distinctive character, the brand has created models that have become part of the collective imagination, from the Aurelia B24 Spider to the Flaminia, from the Fulvia to the Beta HPE, and on to the Stratos, 037 and Delta, which wrote some of the most memorable chapters in motorsport history. Today, Lancia is entering a new phase in its journey, built on a strong Italian identity and a contemporary vision of the brand. The new Ypsilon marked the beginning of this chapter, followed by the brand’s official return to rallying and the arrival of the new Gamma, designed, developed and built in Italy at the Stellantis plant in Melfi. Design, innovation, customer experience and a strong focus on sustainability are driving Lancia’s evolution, with the ambition of reinterpreting for today the values that have always defined the brand’s unique character.
