Leapmotor International B.V. Is One of the First Automotive Companies to Achieve Europrivacy ™/® Certification

Leapmotor International B.V., the joint venture between Stellantis and Leapmotor, announced that it has been awarded the Europrivacy certification, delivered by DNV, marking a significant milestone in the company’s commitment to data protection, transparency and customer trust.

With this achievement, Leapmotor International B.V. becomes one of the first automotive companies to obtain Europrivacy certification, setting a new benchmark for privacy governance in the rapidly evolving connected vehicle industry.

Recognized as the official European Data Protection Seal under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Art. 42, Europrivacy certification provides independent validation that an organization’s data processing activities within the certification scope meet European privacy requirements and best practices.

The certification covers three strategic business processes across Leapmotor International B.V.’s operations:

• Marketing and Profiling (Sales & Marketing)
• Vehicle Maintenance Services (After Sales)
• Connected Services (Connectivity)

The assessment included a comprehensive evaluation of governance structures, roles and responsibilities, contractual frameworks, data flow management, technical and organizational safeguards, cybersecurity measures, and the dedicated ICT solutions supporting these activities.

For each process, auditors examined not only compliance with GDPR requirements, but also alignment with key standards and regulatory frameworks relevant to the automotive, connected vehicle, cybersecurity, and digital services sectors.

This certification underscores Leapmotor International B.V.’s commitment to embedding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance across its connected mobility ecosystem.
