Brazil’s Venom Legacy Grows With Three Finalists at Americas Cardroom

Brazilian players Victor Pedote, José Orlando and Yuri Martins Dzivielevski reached the final tables of the October Dual Venom PKOs at Americas Cardroom, building on a history of Brazilian success that includes two major Venom victories in 2019. Across the two tournaments, Brazil recorded 45 Day 2 qualifications.

Pedote, playing under the name “meteli goli,” represented Brazil at the nine-handed No-Limit Hold’em final table and finished seventh, earning approximately $104,088 including bounties. In Pot-Limit Omaha, “Blessed33” (Orlando) finished fourth for around $82,743 and “vousconfus” (Martins) placed fifth for around $72,633.

The PLO result carried a connection to April 2026, when Orlando and Martins also played the PLO Mystery Bounty Venom final table. On that occasion, Orlando placed third for $205,380 and Martins sixth for $96,282, including bounties. For Martins, this October appearance also recalled the 2021 NLH Venom, in which he was runner-up to fellow Brazilian Ramon Kropmanns.

There was Brazilian depth beyond the last table. Of the 45 Day 2 qualifications, 39 came in NLH and six in PLO, with Martins qualifying in both formats. Among the other NLH players, “LaMurruguita” finished 13th for approximately $42,571, while “SouNinjaa” took 14th for about $34,120.

The two $2,650 buy-in Progressive Knockout events attracted 2,745 entries altogether. The $5 million guaranteed NLH event produced a $5,357,500 prize pool; the $1.5 million guaranteed PLO tournament reached $1,505,000. Both concluded October 21, with “PushLightYear” winning NLH and “tigerseyes” taking PLO.

Brazilian Venom milestones include Rafael Moraes’ $1,050,559.50 win and João Simão’s $1,039,982 victory in 2019, along with Gabriel Tavares’ $1,505,240 title in April 2025. The tradition has continued through players such as Ivanildo Limeira, winner of the 2024 NLH Mystery Bounty Venom and runner-up in September 2026. Carlos Rocha won the February 2025 NLH Mystery Bounty Venom, while Felipe Ketzer’s 2023 runner-up finish earned $1,149,260.
