Three Brazilian Finalists Highlight ACR Poker’s $6.5M Dual Venoms
Three finalists add to Brazil’s history of Venom champions and deep runs.
The $6.5 million guaranteed Dual Venom PKOs at ACR Poker concluded with three Brazilian final-table appearances and 45 Brazilian Day 2 qualifications across No-Limit Hold’em (NLH) and Pot-Limit Omaha (PLO). The pair of $2,650 buy-in events attracted 2,745 entries and generated $6,862,500 in combined prize pools.
Thirty-nine Brazilian entries advanced to Day 2 in the $5 million guaranteed NLH Venom PKO, while six did so in the $1.5 million guaranteed PLO tournament. Yuri Martins Dzivielevski qualified in both, making the figure a count of tournament qualifications rather than distinct players. Both events had five Day 1 flights, beginning October 4, and finished on October 21.
Victor Pedote, competing as “meteli goli,” made the NLH final table and finished seventh for approximately $104,088 including bounties. In PLO, José Orlando (“Blessed33”) finished fourth for around $82,743 and Martins (“vousconfus”) fifth for approximately $72,633. Martins and Orlando had already shared a PLO Mystery Bounty Venom final table in April, when they finished sixth and third, respectively.
The NLH event drew 2,143 entries and generated a $5,357,500 prize pool; PLO drew 602 entries for $1,505,000. “PushLightYear” won the NLH title, while “tigerseyes” secured the PLO championship. Both tournaments used Progressive Knockout rules, with a portion of each eliminated player’s bounty going to the winning player and the remainder increasing that player’s own bounty.
Brazilian players have enjoyed major Venom success since at least July 2019, when Rafael Moraes won $1,050,559.50. João Simão added another Brazilian title that December. In 2021, Ramon Kropmanns defeated Martins in an all-Brazilian heads-up match. More recently, Carlos Rocha won the February 2025 NLH Mystery Bounty Venom, and Gabriel Tavares earned $1,505,240 for his April 2025 NLH Venom title.
Brazilian streamer Marcelo Cartana also reached the latest NLH Day 2 after beginning with an $0.80 Survivor Flip, eventually finishing 158th for approximately $8,367, including bounties. The broader qualifying program, Venom Fever, guaranteed 587 seats through Direct and Mega Satellites.
