Springfield-Branson Book Delivery Begins This Week

The new AT&T Advertising & Publishing directory — now called AT&T Real Yellow Pages — is headed your way. About 400,000 copies of the book will serve residences, businesses and government offices in Springfield-Branson.

Gracing the cover of this year’s edition is a photo of local student athletes representing the Springfield Public School System.

This edition is among the first of the company’s directories to carry the new AT&T Real Yellow Pages logo. Even with the new name and look, it’s the same reliable directory you’ve always known.

“We’ve added the word ’real’ to our brand to distinguish us from competitive books,” says Bob Hammond, area sales manager. “Our book, which dates back 125 years, is the original directory in the area.” It’s estimated that Yellow Pages directories serving Springfield are referenced about 67,000 times each day.

This year’s book contains residential, business and government White Pages listings; money-saving coupons; information guides; and a community section with area maps, attractions, ZIP codes and other helpful information.

For those who let their fingers do the clicking, the AT&T online Yellow Pages is available at YELLOWPAGES.COM. The site offers consumers access to comprehensive local business information, the latest business listings, city guides, maps and driving directions. In addition, YELLOWPAGES.COM advertisers receive exposure on Switchboard, AOL Yellow Pages, Yahoo!® Yellow Pages, Yahoo! Local, AnyWho.com and Addresses.com — all leading Yellow Pages sites.

Additional copies of the print directory can be ordered by calling AT&T Real Yellow Pages at (800) 792-2665.

For more information on the print directory or YELLOWPAGES.COM, please call the AT&T Real Yellow Pages sales office at (417) 864-3700.

The annual AT&T Project ReDirectory campaign to recycle outdated phone books will run through July 31. Old directories may be dropped off at any of the Nestlé Purina big green recycling containers located throughout southwest Missouri. Phone books collected in this year’s campaign will be used by Nestlé Purina PetCare to make animal bedding.

Information on nearby drop-off locations is available by calling (800) 953-4400 and then entering the appropriate ZIP code.

The AT&T Project ReDirectory campaign is conducted with the help of local sponsors that include the Springfield Girl Scout Council, Nestlé Purina PetCare, Dillons Food Stores, Country Mart, Cox Health Systems, St. John’s Health System, Wal-Mart, Waste Corporation of America and the cities of Springfield, Branson and Hollister.
