LOITV arrives on Sky Glass and Sky Stream
Sky customers in the Republic of Ireland can now enjoy the pulsating SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division title run in, as well as live football from all three League of Ireland Divisions, domestic cup competitions and European fixtures, with LOITV now available on Sky Glass and Sky Stream.
Operated by Premier Sports, LOITV is the official streaming platform for the League of Ireland, broadcasting all three League of Ireland Divisions along with the Club Orange Men’s and Women’s FAI Cups, Men’s and Women’s President’s Cups, the Women’s All-Island Cup and select European fixtures involving League of Ireland clubs.
The addition of the LOITV app to the Sky Glass and Sky Stream interface gives customers an easy way to access the best of domestic football alongside the wide range of entertainment, sport and apps already available through Sky.
Rory Martin, Director of Strategy and Transformation at Sky, said: “Football fans want easy access to the teams and competitions they care about most. Support for the League of Ireland has grown from strength to strength in the past number of years so we’re proud to partner with LOITV and Premier Sports on this. While nothing beats getting to your local ground to cheer on your team, with LOITV on Sky Glass and Stream, fans can enjoy comprehensive coverage of the League of Ireland directly through their TVs, making it even easier to follow the clubs, players and moments that matter to them throughout the season.”
LOITV is the only place where games across the League of Ireland’s three divisions are streamed live and available on playback. Matches from the SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division are produced with a minimum two-camera set-up, while fixtures from the SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division and SSE Airtricity Men’s First Division feature a minimum one-camera production.
Mark Scanlon, League of Ireland Director said: “The League of Ireland is enjoying unprecedented growth and momentum, and this is illustrated by one of the most exciting SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division title run-ins in years. We’re committed to making our coverage as accessible as possible for supporters. Bringing LOITV to Sky Glass and Sky Stream is an important step forward, giving fans a seamless way to watch live matches and catch up on key moments from across all Divisions of the Men and Women’s League of Ireland, as well as important domestic and European cup fixtures.”
