ACR Poker Sets Start for Three Mystery PKO Halloween Events This Sunday

ACR Poker’s Halloween Special opens this Sunday, Oct. 18, with three Mystery PKO tournaments and entry options from $5.50. The tournaments give players a choice of buy-ins while introducing a new format that combines hidden Mystery Bounties with growing, visible Progressive Bounties.

Exclusive to the Winning Poker Network, the Mystery PKOs will feature $650,000 in combined tournament guarantees. The lineup consists of a $500,000 guaranteed event at $109, a $100,000 guaranteed event at $33 and a $50,000 guaranteed event at $5.50.

Players may enter more than one Day 1 flight and bring combined qualifying stacks to Day 2 on Nov. 1, when bounty rewards become available.

Every participant starts Day 2 with $0 in accumulated Progressive Bounty. Once the bounty phase begins, an eligible knockout reveals the eliminated player’s mystery prize. Half is paid immediately to the eliminator, while half becomes part of the eliminator’s visible Progressive Bounty.

If the opponent has an accumulated Progressive Bounty as well, its value is divided the same way. The player scoring the knockout collects 50% and adds the remaining 50% to the bounty on their own head.

This can leave part of a major mystery prize available after its initial reveal. The recipient collects half at once, but opponents still have a chance to win a portion of the transferred money by eliminating that player.

A hypothetical knockout involving a $100 Mystery Bounty and a $40 Progressive Bounty pays $70 immediately and adds $70 to the eliminator’s progressive total. The figures demonstrate the mechanics and are not advertised prizes for the Halloween events.

The format gives players two bounty components to follow during Day 2: newly revealed mystery amounts and progressive totals already on display.

More information on the Halloween Special and the new Mystery PKO format can be found on the promotion page.
