Best Seller Publishing announces the release of Darryl A. Jones Sr., Dr. Harvey Goldstein and Dr. Lauren Butler’s new book, “Law Enforcement, Leadership and Surviving Trauma: Real Stories. Hard Lessons. A Guide for Surviving Trauma.” It will be available in the Amazon store for free for only five days.

“Law Enforcement, Leadership and Surviving Trauma” is about leadership, resilience, and surviving trauma through the real-life experiences of retired law enforcement executive Darryl A. Jones, Sr. The book explores how difficult decisions, personal loss, professional setbacks, and traumatic experiences can shape both leaders and individuals.

Jones openly shares challenges including divorce, bankruptcy, political defeat, a DWI arrest, the loss of a squad member and friend, imposter syndrome, and becoming a paraplegic, focusing on the lessons and growth that emerged from each experience. Alongside psychologists Dr. Harvey Goldstein and Dr. Lauren Butler, he examines the psychological impact of law enforcement work, including stress, trauma, mental health, crisis warning signs, and the importance of peer support.

At the center of the book is the STAND™ Framework of Problem Solving, a practical approach for making clear, ethical decisions under pressure. Ultimately, the book offers hard-earned lessons on integrity, accountability, resilience, and leading through adversity when the stakes are highest.
