Spring Living Retirement Communities Appoints Michael Lavallée as Special Advisor

Spring Living Retirement Communities (“Spring Living”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Lavallée as Special Advisor, bringing more than 25 years of leadership and operational experience in the Canadian senior living industry to the organization.

Lavallée is a recognized leader, author and speaker who has spent his career advocating for resident quality of life and care while building and leading successful senior living organizations.

In 2009, Lavallée joined Seasons Retirement Communities as Chief Operating Officer, where he helped launch the organization’s operating platform and brand. He became CEO in 2018 and continued to lead the growth and evolution of the organization, building a highly experienced executive team and helping establish Seasons as one of Canada’s leading senior living companies.

Prior to Seasons, Lavallée served as Vice President of Operations at Chartwell Retirement Residences. He is also the past Chair of the Board of the Ontario Retirement Communities Association (ORCA), currently serves as Chair of the Board of Governors at Trent University and holds the ICD.D designation.

As Special Advisor, Lavallée will provide strategic guidance to Spring Living’s leadership team, drawing on his extensive experience in operations, organizational strategy, governance and growth.

More recently, Lavallée founded Ardenova Advisory, a specialized consultancy advising seniors housing operators on strategy, structuring, governance, operational and financial modelling, and capital formation. He is also the author of Connect, Care, Change: A Roadmap to Authentic Leadership.
