ACR Poker Highlights ScreenShield Protection and GTO Wizard Security Efforts
WPN has contacted relevant players and shared implementation guidance with other operators.
ACR Poker has outlined additional player protections following remote-access security concerns, including WPN’s ScreenShield activation and ongoing cooperation with GTO Wizard. The response also includes direct player outreach and table-protection guidance shared with other online poker operators.
Winning Poker Network contacted players on September 29 who met its detection criteria for software with remote-access or screen-control capabilities. ScreenShield was activated as an additional precaution, reducing exposure of table content through the screen-capture and screen-sharing methods covered by the technology.
Players still see their own tables and play normally on their monitors. The feature can affect legitimate streaming and session recording, so its use has practical consequences for content creators and players reviewing completed sessions with coaches. It does not eliminate every security threat.
WPN’s review found no compromise of its systems, poker software or official downloads. A separate Game Integrity investigation continues into relevant player and account activity. Compensation will be determined from the findings if wrongdoing and harm to WPN players are established.
Remote-access software can serve legitimate purposes, including work meetings, collaboration, accessing a work computer and IT support. Detecting that capability does not alone prove a device was compromised or that cheating took place.
Any WPN player can ask for ScreenShield through support@winningpokernetwork.com and should allow up to 48 hours for activation. WPN plans regular scans and more proactive application when its detection criteria are met. An individual on/off control in the poker client remains in development.
ACR Poker and GTO Wizard already cooperate to cross-check whether situations played on ACR were solved in GTO Wizard. The partners are working to implement broader analysis of final tables, with the goal of covering every ACR final table. That goal does not imply universal coverage is already operating.
GTO Wizard’s new preflop ICM solver supports customized tournament payout structures. Its public Fair Play Check includes these solutions and when they were generated, supporting checks for prohibited solver use during play.
WPN has also sent other operators information on implementing similar table protection so they can evaluate it for their own players. The shared security objective is to reduce cheating through detection and cooperation.
