Wild Emojis and a New Bounty Format Lead Americas Cardroom’s October 1 Software Update
Progressive Mystery Bounties arrive alongside SPINZ staking support, expanded mobile tables and clearer lobby information.
Americas Cardroom has rolled out an October 1 software update led by two additions players will notice in very different parts of the client: a new Wild (R) emoji collection at the tables and Progressive Mystery Bounty tournaments in the lobby.
The emoji update gives each player control over the version of reactions and throwables shown on that player’s own screen. Mild (PG) retains the familiar presentation, while Wild (R) adds more aggressive options. Because the display preference is individual, two players can see different versions of the same reaction. Players can also disable emojis completely through Settings, Playing Experience, Gameplay.
Progressive Mystery Bounty adds a multi-day tournament structure that keeps bounty play off during the opening flights. After all Day 1 flights are finished, the bounty pool is randomly distributed among the players who have qualified for Day 2. From the first Day 2 eliminations onward, the format adds a progressive knockout element: half of an eliminated player’s bounty is paid to the player making the knockout, while the other half is added to that player’s own bounty.
Staking Tickets now support all seven SPINZ buy-in levels from $0.25 to $100. Eligible backers can fund another player’s entry for an agreed share of any payout. Staking Tickets remain in beta; purchasing and sending are currently available to select users, while anyone can receive tickets.
The refreshed mobile design previously used for SPINZ now covers cash games, Blitz, tournaments, Sit & Go’s, On Demand games and multi-day tournaments, with opponents’ actions shown on their nameplates and betting controls available across more game types.
Elsewhere, a new overlay group can move selected tournaments above standard lobby listings and mark them with a siren alert when current entries may not cover the advertised guarantee. Two fixes also correct displayed side-pot information in certain hand histories and prize-pool totals in some guaranteed multi-day tournament lobbies.
Players can explore the new emoji settings directly in the Emoji Gallery, find Progressive Mystery Bounty tournaments through the Mystery Bounty filter and check the client for current availability of Staking Tickets and other features included in the release.
