Emergent Expands MongoDB Partnership, Bringing AI-Built Apps to Customers’ Existing Environments

Emergent, the fast-growing AI software creation platform that helps founders and business owners build full-stack, production-ready web and mobile applications, announced its partnership with MongoDB, Inc., the real-time, intelligent data platform for modern applications in the multi-cloud and AI era. With this partnership Emergent Pro and Enterprise customers can connect their existing MongoDB Atlas accounts directly to Emergent. The integration enables teams to use their own infrastructure when building applications with Emergent, while Emergent’s agents take care of provisioning and managing the necessary database resources.

This integration is part of several new partnerships announcements today at MongoDB.local NYC.

MongoDB Atlas has been the default database behind every application created on Emergent since the platform’s inception. Emergent was developed for those who may not have traditional software engineering skills: they describe what kind of app they need in natural language, and Emergent’s agents create and modify it. As requirements change during the build process, the underlying data model often needs to change as well. MongoDB’s flexible document model allows Emergent’s agents to adapt the data model without the migrations a fixed schema would force.

With today’s integration, enterprise customers, developers, and technical teams that already run production workloads on their own MongoDB Atlas organizations can bring Emergent-built apps into that same environment. Customers can authenticate through MongoDB and grant Emergent access to their organization, without any API keys to manage. In turn, Emergent will be able to manage the projects and clusters needed to run their applications within the chosen MongoDB Atlas organization.

For founders and small business owners building on Emergent, the experience remains unchanged. MongoDB Atlas continues to be the default managed database, with no additional configuration required.
